• WHAT IS THE NEWTOWN JAZZ FESTIVAL?

The Newtown JazzFest is an initiative of the Nikis Heritage & Creative Arts Foun-
dation, founded by Niki Sondlo. This initiative is rooted in the legacy of Niki’s Oasis
Jazz Restaurant, an award-winning live jazz venue that has hosted an array of jazz
events for nearly three decades. Located in the Newtown Cultural Precinct, Niki’s
Oasis has attracted jazz patrons from both local and international markets, be-
coming a pivotal institution in the global jazz community.

• WHEN DOES THE FESTIVAL HAPPEN?

The Newtown Jazz and Heritage Festival takes place in the Newtown Cultural Precinct at the beginning of the year. The next festival will begin on the 24th-26th of january 2025
